World's Largest Truck Stop! Iowa's 2nd Largest Glory Hole.
There Once was a man from Des Moines,
Who was good at saving his coins.
They subsidized his corn,
So he could spend time with his porn,
And get that ol’ feelin in his loins.

Back in the late 1970s when the Iowa 80 was just a normal-sized truck stop I gave their restaurant a try.
Oh my!!!! The fried chicken dinner was incredibly awesomely yummy!!!!
The seasoning on the BIG chicken pieces was mighty tasty.
The real mashed potatoes were covered with a delicious white gravy that had hunks of meat in it, adding to the texture and taste.
And, accompanying the magnificent meal was a mini-loaf of warm bread baked on-site.
I forget the price but remember it as being very reasonable.
One of the best truck stop meals I ever had. Heck, among the best of any restaurant meal I shoveled in.
I wonder if their fare is still as awesome?
